A Celta Vigo team rooted in mid-table prepare to face one of their least favourite opponents in Real Sociedad – a team who they have lost six straight home H2Hs against. In fact, Claudio Giráldez’s Sky Blues have only won one of the last ten meetings on home soil (D2, L7), and only against La Liga’s current top-four have they lost more league home encounters in their history.

Their four road wins in La Liga this season is a total bettered only by Barcelona (seven), but the measly seven goals they’ve scored from their eight away games this term suggests a goal-fest is highly unlikely here.

Players to watch: Only Barça duo Lamine Yamal (nine) and Raphinha (six) have more assists than Celta defender Óscar Mingueza’s five coming into the matchday – the defender also scored on Sociedad soil last term! The visitors’ Mikel Oyarzabal has struck in three of his side’s last four league away outings, which all ended in wins for his side.

Hot streak: Real Sociedad haven’t conceded a second-half league away goal from open play since March (W7, D3, L3).
