Graham Potter began life in charge of West Ham United with a 2-1 FA Cup loss against Aston Villa on Friday and now starts work on his number one priority, improving his side’s league form. He was dealt an early blow when Niclas Füllkrug made a premature exit on Friday evening, so is facing an injury crisis in the forward areas ahead of this clash with Fulham, with Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen also on the sidelines.

The ex-Chelsea and Brighton boss said he was encouraged by what he saw at Villa Park, so may be optimistic of extending West Ham United impressive record in recent home H2Hs (W8, D3, L1). Only against reigning champions Manchester City and Manchester United have Fulham been beaten in away league action this season (W3, D4), with only Liverpool (0) losing fewer Premier League away games this season. Another huge positive is that it’s almost exactly a year since they last lost a top-flight London derby on the road (W3, D2), a sequence that started with that aforementioned 2-0 H2H success here in April.

Players to watch: Lucas Paquetá scored West Ham United’s goal against Villa with his fourth strike in all competitions this term, three of which were his side’s opening goal of the game. In-form Raúl Jiménez has scored four goals across Fulham’s last three games, the last three of which arrived after half-time.
