With both Fulham and Everton locked on 34 points and within touching distance of the European spots, this game is a huge opportunity for one of these sides to boost their top-six hopes. Fulham lost the reverse fixture 2-0 and have won just one of their last nine against Everton at Craven Cottage in the Premier League (D4, L4). Five of Fulham’s last six league games saw both teams score.
Fulham found themselves on the wrong side of a thrilling encounter at Old Trafford last weekend, losing 3-2 via a stoppage-time goal to suffer what was just their second loss in nine Premier League games (W5, D2). They remain firmly in the race for European football this season, and a return home should help stimulate a response given only the Premier League’s top three have collected more home wins this season pre-round (W7, D2, L3). Another home win is certainly within the realms of possibility here considering this fixture has seen the highest percentage of home wins (65% – 24 home wins from 37 games) of all Premier League fixtures to be played 30+ times.
Everton’s trip to Brighton also produced some late drama, though thankfully for David Moyes’ men, they were the beneficiaries, with Beto’s goal securing a 1-1 draw and extending their solid league run to one defeat in seven (W2, D4). The arrival of Chelsea prospect Tyrique George on deadline day should help boost the Toffees’ front line here, and he makes a swift return to west London, hoping to help Everton extend their four-match unbeaten away run (W2, D2). A solid defence should help them on their way, as only Arsenal (9) have conceded fewer away league goals this season than Everton (11).
Since Christmas, 90% of Fulham’s Premier League goals have come in the second half (9/10). Everton have the joint-second best first-half away record in the Premier League this season (HT: W4, D6, L2). Since Moyes’ first game back in charge in January 2025, Everton have drawn more league games than anyone else (14).
Former Everton man Alex Iwobi also has two career goals against them – his last four Fulham goals all came before the hour mark in home games. James Garner made his 100th Premier League appearance against Brighton, with only one player making more than his 74 tackles in the Premier League this season.
Neither side have any fresh concerns ahead of this clash.
