Pisa will look to dent AC Milan’s Serie A title hopes and simultaneously improve their own chances of avoiding relegation. Pisa were minutes away from a famous win in October’s reverse fixture (2-2), while Milan have lost just one H2H overall (W14, D4). Milan have scored exactly once in 11 of their 23 league games this term, including five of their last seven.
Pisa played out a 0-0 draw against bottom-of-the-table Verona last Friday to only remain above them on goal difference, while they currently find themselves six points adrift of safety. That wasn’t an ideal start for new head coach Oscar Hiljemark, as it extended the club’s winless run to 13 matches (D6, L7), with their sole victory in Serie A this season coming back in November. That win was at the Arena Garibaldi, but five defeats in the Tuscans’ last six home games (D1) suggests that Hiljemark has a job on his hands to lift morale and mastermind a push for survival.
Milan beat Bologna 3-0 in their last encounter but sit eight points behind league leaders Inter Milan, albeit with a game in hand on them. Three draws in their last six matches (W3) – with two of those coming against teams that are 15th or worse – have dealt a blow though to the Rossoneri’s hopes of keeping the pressure on their arch-rivals. Massimiliano Allegri’s men have nevertheless been impressive at both ends of the pitch, as they boast the third-best record in Serie A offensively and defensively this season. They are also the only side yet to lose on an away outing in Italy’s top flight this term (W7, D5), but Pisa have registered more draws on the road in the division in 2025/26 (eight).
Pisa have drawn the most Serie A games this season after taking the lead (W1, D6, L1). Pisa have conceded a league-high 11 goals between the 31st minute and half-time this season. Milan have been level at half-time in a joint league-high 14 matches this season.
Pisa’s Stefano Moreo could score early on here, as four of his five Serie A goals have come in the first 30 minutes. Milan forward Christopher Nkunku could follow him on the scoresheet, as all six of his goals at club level this term have arrived after the half-hour mark, with the last three of those taking place away from home.
Pisa will be without midfielder Marius Marin due to a yellow-card suspension, while Milan seemingly have no fresh absentees.
