Bologna are looking to reignite their hopes of European qualification after a poor run of form, but face a tough task as Serie A title chasers AC Milan visit Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Bologna have registered just three wins across the last 33 H2Hs (D8, L22), but two of those have come across the last four meetings, including a 2-1 victory in last season’s corresponding fixture and a 1-0 success in May’s Coppa Italia final. Milan are unbeaten in the 14 league games they scored first in this campaign (W10, D4).

Bologna’s domestic form is at odds with their results in Europe, where a 3-0 success against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday secured safe passage to the knockout stage of the UEFA Europa League. In Serie A, a miserable run of one win in ten outings (D3, L6) has left them some way adrift of the top-six and seven points worse off than the same stage last term. Poor home form has contributed heavily to that, with Vincenzo Italiano’s men winless here in all competitions since early December (D2, L3), while they’ve lost four of their last five Serie A outings on their own turf (D1).

Second-placed AC Milan, who are the only team in the division yet to lose an away game this season (W6, D5), therefore represent tough opponents here. The Rossoneri are clinging to arch-rivals Inter’s heels in the race for the Scudetto despite going unbeaten in Serie A since the opening game of the campaign (W13, D8). Too many draws, including a 1-1 stalemate against Roma last time out, have undermined their efforts, while goals have also started to desert Massimiliano Allegri’s men, who’ve netted exactly once in five of their last six games (W3, D3).

Bologna have conceded at least one first-half goal in five of their last six league games. Bologna have led just one home league game at half-time this term (HT: D6, L3). Milan have rescued a league-high 12 points after conceding first this season (W3, D3, L1).

Bologna are unbeaten in the last 14 games Jens Odgaard has scored in (W11, D3), with ten of those strikes being the first or last of the match. All eight of Christian Pulisic’s Serie A goals this term have come in wins (W6), with the American netting decisively in the last five of those victories.

Bologna’s Łukasz Skorupski is suspended, while Milan’s Santiago Giménez is still out.
