Levante finally seem to have the bit between their teeth in their fight for La Liga survival, but now come up against an Atlético Madrid side flying high in third place ahead of this round of fixtures. Across the last six H2Hs, both teams have won twice (D2), but Levante haven’t beaten Atlético at home since May 2016 (D3, L3). Only Real Madrid have registered more La Liga clean sheets than Atlético’s nine this season.

Levante might be finding some form in the nick of time, as they registered a second win in four attempts (D1, L1) thanks to a last-gasp 3-2 success against Elche last Friday. The upturn in results coincides with Luís Castro taking charge just before Christmas, and his side are now five points from safety as they seek to avoid an immediate return to the second tier.
