Juventus head to Verona on Saturday in a bid to make it four wins from four in Serie A this season. Six of the last seven meetings between the sides have been clean-sheet victories for Juventus (D1), but a small hope for Verona here could be the fact that they have registered three wins in their last eight home H2Hs (D2, L3). Five of Juventus’ last six away games have produced under 2.5 goals.

Verona were held to a goalless draw by newly promoted Cremonese on Monday, but they at least reacted well to their 4-0 defeat at Lazio by keeping their first clean sheet in ten matches across all competitions. Their latest result though means that the Gialloblù have still scored just once this term in Serie A (D2, L1) and have won only one of their last 14 home encounters (D6, L7). It is difficult to imagine that run improving here, as Paolo Zanetti’s men lost seven of their eight games against the division’s top four teams last season (W1), failing to find the net in six of them.

Juventus produced a rousing late comeback to beat Inter in a 4-3 thriller in their last Serie A outing, which means they’ve now won their opening three matches in a season for the first time since 2018/19. Including last term, Juventus are on a five-game winning streak in league action and could win six consecutive Serie A matches for the first time since January 2023. They also showed their fighting spirit in midweek, coming from behind three times against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League (4-4) – the sixth of their last nine competitive encounters to have produced at least five goals.

Verona have failed to score in four of their last six home matches (D5, L1). Verona have conceded 19 of their last 24 Serie A home goals before half-time. Juventus won six of their ten away league matches in 2024/25 against last season’s bottom-half teams (D3, L1).

Verona captain Suat Serdar remains their only league scorer this term, but just one of his last seven goals has led to him finishing on the winning side (D4, L2). Vasilije Adžić netted an amazing winner for Juventus against Inter last Saturday, meaning that each of his last five senior league goals have seen his team on the day win a game that produced at least four goals.

Verona’s Roberto Gagliardini is set to be out for more than a month after coming off injured against Cremonese, while Juventus have reported no new injuries.
