After securing a fifth successive Serie A victory, Napoli will be looking to put pressure on league leaders Inter Milan with another win away to an out-of-form Parma, who remain comfortably above the relegation zone. Napoli have kept a clean sheet in four of the last five H2Hs (W3, D2), with the last two finishing 0-0. Parma have conceded first in nine home league matches this term (D3, L6).

Despite opening the scoring for the first time since February, Parma were not able to end a winless run which now stands at five games (D3, L2) as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Lazio last Saturday, but they at least increased their cushion over the relegation places to eight points. A whopping 11 league draws have prevented Carlos Cuesta’s men from moving further up the table, as only Pisa (12) have registered more in Serie A pre-round. With just one victory in their last six home matches (D2, L3), confidence may not be high, but the Crusaders have lost back-to-back games at Stadio Ennio Tardini only once this term.

Napoli beat AC Milan 1-0 on Monday to leapfrog their opponents into second place, although they are still seven points behind Inter. As the Nerazzurri play later this weekend, the Scudetto holders will try to put pressure on them with another victory, but preparations haven’t been helped by speculation linking their head coach Antonio Conte with the Italy job. During Conte’s tenure, the Partenopei have only enjoyed one longer winning league run than their current one, when they won seven such games between December 2024 and January 2025, while they could keep three consecutive top-flight clean sheets for the first time this season with a shutout here.

No side have led at the break in Serie A fewer times at home than Parma this season (HT: W1, D9, L5). Napoli scored inside 20 minutes in their last four away matches. Only six of Napoli’s 16 away league matches this season saw both teams score.

Parma’s Enrico Delprato has made it 1-0 with six of his last 11 goals for the club, including the one against Lazio last weekend. Napoli have won each of Matteo Politano’s last five scoring appearances, while four of his last six goals for them have been match openers.

Parma are without suspended talisman Mateo Pellegrino, while Napoli duo Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Romelu Lukaku could remain sidelined.
