The opening weekend in Serie A sees Cagliari clash with Fiorentina at the Unipol Domus, with both teams having high hopes they can improve on last season’s achievements. Fiorentina have dominated this H2H recently, winning each of the last four meetings while boasting a nine-game unbeaten run against Cagliari in Serie A (W6, D3).

Cagliari will be under new leadership for their third consecutive campaign back in the top-flight, with the board deciding to promote from within as youth team coach Fabio Pisacane takes over the reins from Davide Nicola.
