Just when they were beginning to look over their shoulders at the Ligue 1 relegation spots, Angers produced a solid display to claim a vital 1-0 victory away to Le Havre last weekend. That was the perfect way to bounce back from back-to-back losses, and with one of those coming against table-toppers PSG, the alarm bells won’t be ringing just yet amongst the home faithful, even though they begin this matchday just one point above the bottom three.

Players to watch: Jean-Eudes Aholou has been in great form in the heart of midfield of late for Angers, scoring two goals this campaign, whilst he also netted in a Ligue 1 win over Lyon for Strasbourg last season. Malick Fofana is enjoying a breakout campaign for Lyon, scoring six goals across all competitions which notably have all come away from home.
