Wolverhampton Wanderers will look to salvage a little pride and become the first side bottom of the Premier League to beat the side top since February 2011 when Arsenal come to town. Wolverhampton Wanderers have lost each of the last nine H2Hs since beating the Gunners 2-1 in February 2021 at Molineux. Arsenal are conceding a league-low amount of corners on average in the English top-flight (3.12).

Life as a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan continues to be a miserable affair, as after watching their team fail to win each of their last six league matches (D3, L3), their side remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier League with it seemingly just a matter of time until their relegation is confirmed. A slight glimmer of hope could be found in the fact that their only league victory this campaign did come on home soil when they defeated West Ham 3-0 to start 2026, but a visit from the league leaders will hardly have Wolves’ manager Rob Edwards excited. With his team picking up the fewest home points of any side in the division (5), their prospects of producing a seismic upset here look to be almost non-existent.

Arsenal make the trip north in fine form of late, losing just one of their last 11 Premier League matches (W7, D3) as they continue to keep Manchester City at arms length in their quest to win the title for the first time in over 20 years. A 1-1 draw with Brentford last week did highlight their slightly underwhelming results on the road of late as the Gunners have won just three of their last eight away league games (D4, L1). A phenomenal record against sides currently outside of the top seven should have them expecting better here though, as Mikel Arteta’s men have won 14 of 16 such Premier League games this season (D2).

Wolverhampton Wanderers have netted a league-low two second-half home league goals this campaign. Wolves’ home league games have averaged a joint-league high 1.77 first-half goals per game. Arsenal’s Premier League games are averaging a joint-league low 0.92 first-half goals per game.

Tolu Arokodare has three goal contributions across his last six Wolves’ appearances (G2, A1), each coming at home. Arsenal’s Noni Madueke has more goals against Wolves than any other side in his Premier League career (G4), with that accounting for 27% of his total in the competition.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are still without star midfielder André, with Arsenal also missing Kai Havertz and Mikel Merino.
