After a ‘slump’ in form by their high standards with two draws in the Premier League, Liverpool came roaring back with a breathless 6-3 win over Tottenham at the weekend to cement their spot at the summit. The Reds will now sit pretty at the top of the Premier League tree at Christmas for a record-breaking 21st time in English top-flight history, and they’ve gone on to convert that lead to a title on 11 of the 20 previous occasions.

Players to watch: Dominik Szoboszlai scored in a 3-1 Liverpool win when these sides last met, and after his strike against Spurs last time out, continued a run of the Reds scoring 2+ goals in games which he’s netted in. Looking to keep them out will be Liverpool-born former Red Conor Coady, who won’t be shy to venture forward since he’s scored 14 of his last 16 goals away from home.
