A fixture usually loaded with Premier League title implications bears a different look this season as faltering defending champions Liverpool host stumbling challengers Manchester City. City’s 3-0 win in November means they could complete their first league double over Liverpool since 1936/37, but a return of just two wins from their last 38 visits to Anfield suggests that wait could extend here (D12, L24).
