Las Palmas vs Barcelona Full Match Highlights Replay.
Las Palmas’ torrid recent run has landed them in relegation trouble as they begin the weekend above the bottom three by virtue of goal difference alone after losing five of their last six La Liga matches (D1). Manager Diego Martínez will know where his training ground focus needs to be, as scoring in each of those six games proves their defence is letting them down.

The Estadio Gran Canaria faithful will be desperate for a positive result, and welcoming the mighty Barcelona would normally put fear in their hearts, but the Martínez-led Canaries won three of their last four La Liga games against Catalan opposition (L1). One of those wins came in the reverse fixture when Las Palmas defied the odds and walked away from the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys with a 2-1 win in November, setting up a chance to secure their first-ever top-flight league double over Barcelona.

Barça are in prime form to shatter those dreams since they’re unbeaten in their last 12 competitive games (W10, D2), a run that includes four consecutive La Liga wins to reclaim top spot prior to the round. Add to that form their aspirations of avenging their loss to Las Palmas earlier in the season, a side they went 15 games unbeaten against in all competitions before this campaign (W12, D3), and Barça look a fearsome prospect.

Hansi Flick’s men have also been ruthless on the road recently, going undefeated in their last 11 games played away from Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (W8, D3). Their success on their travels has been largely driven by their goalscoring prowess, which saw them net no fewer than 38 times in those 11 matches at an average of 3.45 goals per game.

Players to watch: Ex-Barcelona man Sandro Ramírez has scored three times against his former employers, including the opener in the reverse fixture which was one of the six of his seven goals this season to come after half-time. He’ll face stiff competition from Robert Lewandowski who has scored against 48 of the 53 teams he’s faced in his time in La Liga and the Bundesliga, and he’ll be attempting to make it 49 since one of the exceptions are Las Palmas.

Hot stat: Barcelona scored 18 goals in the opening 30 minutes in their last 13 games.
