Bayer Leverkusen appear a rejuvenated outfit since the November international break, with four successive wins across three competitions putting them back in contention for silverware. Xabi Alonso’s men landed a big psychological blow on Wednesday too, winning 1-0 at Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal to advance to the quarter-finals in impressive fashion.
