After a superb start to his tenure, Michael Carrick takes Manchester United to Premier League leaders Arsenal for the latest chapter of a rivalry that defined an era in English football. Arsenal won the last four Premier League meetings at the Emirates while going unbeaten in six league H2Hs at any venue (W5, D1). Manchester United have never failed to win seven successive league H2Hs against Arsenal, and can take heart from winning in the FA Cup on this ground last season.

Bukayo Saka will hope his strong record in this fixture helps him end a 12-game goal drought, as he directly contributed to a goal in three of his last four home H2Hs (G2, A1). Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes led the Premier League for chances created (62) and assists (nine) at the end of the last round, also scoring in two of his last three H2Hs.

Arsenal look to have no fresh concerns, but Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee remains doubtful after missing the Manchester derby.
