Following a slender 1-0 win at Ipswich in midweek, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner claimed he is “very happy” despite commenting on their lacklustre performance. Despite that victory ending a four-game winless run of Premier League games (D3, L1) the Eagles still sit perilously close to the bottom-three, so they shouldn’t be feeling too comfortable just yet.

You’d have to look back to 1995 to find the last time Manchester City had lost 6+ away games in succession, so avoiding the ignominy of such an outcome will rely on maintaining their ongoing ten-game unbeaten run of competitive H2Hs at Selhurst Park (W8, D2).

Players to watch: Often scoring crucial goals for Crystal Palace, Jean-Philippe Mateta hit decisively in four of his last five scoring league appearances, the last two of which ended 1-0. For Manchester City, full-back Rico Lewis may fancy his chances here after both of his Premier League goals since breaking into the senior setup came in both league H2Hs last season.
