Bayern Munchen host RB Leipzig, who have lifted the DFB-Pokal twice since they last did, in the quarter-finals of the competition. Bayern Munchen are unbeaten in the last six H2Hs (W4, D2) and defeated RB Leipzig 3-0 in the DFB-Pokal final back in May 2019 – the last time that these sides met in this competition. Bayern Munchen scored 2+ goals in 13 of their last 14 matches across all competitions.

Bayern Munchen have stuttered recently in the Bundesliga, winning just one of their last three such games (D1, L1), but that victory came in emphatic style at home on Sunday as they thrashed Hoffenheim 5-1. Appearing to be on their way to a second successive league title under Vincent Kompany’s stewardship, they will also hope to end their DFB-Pokal drought, having not triumphed in the competition since 2020, when they won it for a 20th time. Back-to-back DFB-Pokal champions in 2022 and 2023, the Red Bulls have made it into at least the semi-finals of the competition in five of the last seven seasons and head to the Allianz Arena having lost only three of their 13 away games this campaign (W7, D3).

Bayern Munchen have taken more corners than any team in the Bundesliga this term (134). RB Leipzig scored in each of their last ten games across all competitions. RB Leipzig won their last four DFB-Pokal quarter-final ties with a clean sheet.

Harry Kane has scored eight goals in Bayern’s last eight matches across all competitions and will be confident about adding to his haul of seven goals in his six appearances against RB Leipzig to date. David Raum has recorded four goal involvements in RB Leipzig’s last six games (G1, A3), including an assist against Bayern Munchen in a 5-1 Bundesliga loss last month.

Bayern Munchen don’t seem to have any fresh absentees, while RB Leipzig will hope to hand new signing Ayodele Thomas his debut after he missed their win at the weekend through illness.
