Barcelona remain clear at the La Liga summit after beating Celta Vigo 4-3 in a topsy-turvy affair on Saturday to extend their unbeaten league run to 13 matches (W11, D2). Hansi Flick’s side trailed by two goals with under half an hour remaining, but fought back to begin a busy finish to April, which includes a Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid and a UEFA Champions League semi-final meeting with Inter Milan, on the right footing.

In the immediacy, the Blaugrana must focus on taking on a Mallorca side they’ve beaten in 15 of the last 17 H2Hs (D2), including six straight victories in Barcelona. History suggests they’ll struggle to make that three in a row, as the last time they didn’t concede in an away H2H was a Samuel Eto’o-inspired 3-0 win back in April 2000! There perhaps won’t be as much action this time around, and that largely owes to Mallorca, whose last five away league games have produced a meagre average of 1.8 total goals.

Players to watch: Ferran Torres has scored three times across Barcelona’s last five league fixtures, twice opening the scoring inside the opening 15 minutes. Cyle Larin broke the deadlock for Mallorca against Real Sociedad in their previous away game – all six of his La Liga goals this term came in victories and before the hour mark.

Hot stat: Barcelona have scored a league-high 12 goals before the 15th minute in La Liga this term.
