Struggling Auxerre appear to be in freefall, and things are unlikely to get much easier as they host title-chasing PSG. PSG have won 12 of the last 18 H2Hs (D3, L3), including a 2-0 success in September, although they’ve only won two of the last six away H2Hs (D3, L1). PSG have scored a league-high 18 first-half goals this season.

Auxerre have had a miserable start to the year, with back-to-back defeats to open 2026 leaving them six points from definite safety in the relegation zone. Going down 1-0 against PSG’s closest title rivals Lens last weekend not only marked a ninth failure to score in Ligue 1 this season, but also stretched a dismal run of form to 13 defeats in 18 competitive games (W2, D3). Under-fire boss Christophe Pélissier still believes his side have what it takes to beat the drop, and if they’re to do so then it will perhaps be largely down to their home form, as Auxerre have picked up ten of their 12 points this season at home (W3, D1, L5).

PSG may be on a four-match winning streak in Ligue 1 after beating Lille 3-0 last Friday, but they travel here on a downer after slumping to a 2-1 UEFA Champions League defeat against Sporting CP on Tuesday night. That perhaps perfectly encapsulates what has been an abject season so far for PSG, who find themselves in the unusual position of playing catch up in the Ligue 1 title race as they currently sit a point adrift of top spot. Only winning a slim majority of their away league games this season certainly hasn’t helped their cause (W5, D2, L2), and having conceded 11 of their 15 league goals on the road this season too, another PSG stumble certainly can’t be ruled out here.

Auxerre have scored seven of their ten home league goals this season after half-time. Auxerre have lost 12 of the 13 league fixtures in which they have conceded first this term (D1). Six of PSG’s last seven league games featured over 2.5 goals.

Only two players have committed more fouls in Ligue 1 this season than Auxerre’s Danny Namaso (32), but the forward has opened the scoring with four of his last five club goals. PSG will hope Bradley Barcola is on target, as he has still only lost one game in which he has scored for the club (W24, D2).

Auxerre don’t appear to have any fresh injury worries. PSG might not risk João Neves as he continues his recovery from injury.
