Back-to-back goalless draws in Serie A halted Juventus’ high-octane start to the 2024/25 campaign, but Thiago Motta’s men responded in style during the week with a 3-1 UEFA Champions League victory over PSV Eindhoven. It seems like an ‘all or nothing’ output so far for Juventus, who have scored exactly three goals in each of their three competitive victories this term but failed to find the net in both draws.

A quick start appears to be crucial for Juventus as they were leading 2-0 at half-time 2-0 in each of their last four competitive victories. Players to watch: Juve’s new acquisition Nico González registered a goal and an assist against PSV during the week, meaning that nine of his last 11 club goals have now arrived after the break. Since his Serie A debut in 2022/23, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has scored and assisted in the same match nine times, including his last outing, which is at least three more than any other player in the league.

Hot stat: Five of Juve’s last seven competitive matches had 2-0 half-time scores (JUV: W4, L1).
